Certified GPA Consultants
At the final workshop for consultants in Eastern and Southern Africa, held in Harare in August 2014, seven consultants from Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi received a certificate from HIVOS, indicating their successful participation in a series of workshops in Zimbabwe and Kenya. In the past months, the consultants have learned how to support microfinance institutions with implementing a green agenda, using the HIVOS GPA guide. The consultants implemented the GPA in more than 20 MFIs in total, they interviewed almost 100 MFI managers, and visited around 50 clients to assess the environmental impact of their activities.
